Vivid Sydney 2021 |A Celebration of Art, Culture, Diversity and Resilience

Vivid Sydney in 2021 will be nothing like what we’ve seen in the previous year. No doubt about that! The festival pioneered by the NSW Government will deliver a significant social and economic benefit for New South Wales. The themes of resilience and diversity will be the main focus of this year’s celebration, which will also pin point on various aspects of the Aboriginal community in Sydney. 

As the festival makes its huge comeback, there is a lot in store for the city. The Vivid Sydney 2021 program is all set to feature about 50+ dazzling light installations and 3D projections which will be exhibited across several light precincts. There will be many music events and thought-provoking discussions and workshops across Barangaroo, Circular Quay, Luna Park, Sydney CBD, The Rocks and Darling Harbour. The festival will be a terrific show of Sydney’s resilience to the challenges posed by the pandemic. 

The installations and projections have been created by 129 artists from 19 different countries; many of these installations will offer an interactive and immersive experience through voice and motion controls. In its 12th edition, the basic Vivid Sydney experiences including the Vivid Light Walk will centre around Barangaroo, Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. The first-ever floating Light Walk will be a highlight of this year’s Vivid Sydney.
