Press Release: The Showboat’s Newest Segment Brings K-Pop To ‘The Voyage of Love’
Sydney Showboats, the iconic red paddlewheeler & theatre boat on Sydney Harbour, has revealed the new segment in ‘The Voyage of Love’ cabaret show. The longest running cabaret show in Australia, the cabaret showcases ten unique acts of song & dance inspired by cities around the world, with the newest destination being Seoul, South Korea.
The segment - ‘Nobody’ was launched in early December and was welcomed by thousands of guests over the new year period. Paying homage to the Korean girl group Wonder Girls, the segment celebrates the breakthrough of Korean music into its global popularisation today.
Choreographed by Korean-American performer Bec Morris, the segment incorporates elements of K-pop performances from innovative use of props, eye-catching costuming & synchronised choreography. “[Nobody is] an infectious & memorable track, known for over a decade in Korea, throughout Asia and world-wide. With a disco-vibe and a clap-driven pop sound it will be a great addition to the already spectacular Sydney Showboats cabaret show.” said Bec Morris.
As part of the larger production, the dazzling addition of ‘Nobody’ to "The Voyage of Love," brings a new element of glamour to audiences on board.
The Sydney Showboat sets sail on ‘The Voyage of Love’ Sydney Showboat every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday night. Tickets are available on the official website: www.sydneyshowboats.com.au
